Driven by the commitment to promote a Gun-Violence-Free Ghana, the Greater Accra Regional Office of NACSA has intensified engagements in communities where public education and stakeholder collaboration can make the greatest impact.

One such engagement was held at Akweley Ward in the Awutu Senya East Municipal Assembly, bringing together over 50 key community actors including traditional authorities, religious leaders, the Municipal Chief Executive, Management of the Assembly, the Narcotics Commission, RTI Commission, Information Services Department, traders, opinion leaders, and residents to discuss conversations on emerging security concerns within the municipality and practical measures for preventing gun violence and the proliferation of illicit firearms.

Participants also called for sustained collaboration between NACSA, the Municipal Assembly and local stakeholders to ensure that security awareness becomes a continuous community effort rather than a one-time intervention.

NACSA commends municipal authorities for their reception and support in advancing the silencing the guns agenda.
